Krav Maga in the Temple Basement Starting This Sunday, Bagels to Follow is a new play by Rebecca Salzhauer, directed by Rosie Glen-Lambert.

In the wake of an antisemitic attack, members of Temple Beth Shalom start a Krav Maga training group. The weeks pass. The drills get more intense. The table in the back always has bagels. But when self-defense bleeds into danger, the group has to grapple with what it means to be safe – and how far they’ll go to ensure that they feel protected. The play is a finalist in this year’s Jewish Plays Project and a semifinalist for the O’Neill and the Terrence McNally New Works Incubator.

We are raising $10,000 to support a 29-hour developmental reading of the play, with all funds going directly to artist stipends. All donations are tax-deductible and help make this new work possible.
